Megh Raj K C is a Ph.D. candidate at Utah State University, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has a master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering and River Basin Development from IHE Delft, the Netherlands. Currently, he is conducting research on the hydraulics of beveled-faced stepped spillways on a large-scale physical model at Utah Water Research Laboratory. He also has more than 5 years of working experience in the design of hydraulic structures for various hydropower and irrigation projects in Nepal. Key areas of his interests and expertise include physical and numerical modeling of multiphase flows, design of diversion structures and energy dissipators, and river training works for flood protection.
