Michael Horst holds the rank of Associate Professor and has been a faculty member at TCNJ since 2006. His responsibilities at the College include teaching courses related to Water Resources and Environmental engineering, as well as conducting research in the area of applied hydrologic and hydraulic engineering. Prior to joining TCNJ he completed a 2-year Post-Doc at Villanova University where he focused on Stormwater Management topics specifically related to BMPs. Before that he completed his Bachelors, Masters, and PhD all at Penn State University focusing on applied Hydraulics and Hydrology with an emphasis on sediment transport and bridge scour topics. He is a licensed engineering in Pennsylvania and stays active in the community through various consulting projects as well as by conducting continuing education courses focusing on both the HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS programs.
