Rollin H. Hotchkiss is a water resources engineering professor in the Civil and Construction Engineering Department at Brigham Young University. His current research areas include mitigating drowning at low-head dams extending the useful life of dams and reservoirs, and the economics of sustainability. He is a co-leader of a Task Force to create an inventory of low-head dams in the United States. Dr. Hotchkiss has authored more than 50 refereed journal papers and more than 100 conference papers. He teaches courses in fluid mechanics, 2D river modeling, hydraulic structures, and leadership.
