Michael A. Brown, PE, Tetra Tech National Practice Lead for Dams & Levees
Mr. Brown has over 35 years of experience in engineering of dams and levees, design, construction, and safety evaluations on projects around the world. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at the beginning of 2022 as the Geotechnical Design Section Chief of the Jacksonville District. He is currently Tetra Tech’s National Practice Lead for Dams and Levees working on dam design, levee design, construction engineering, engineering risk assessments, interim risk reduction measures (IRRM), and dam and levee safety modifications. Notable projects include Project Engineer for Wolf Creek Dam Foundation Remediation and Center Hill Dam Foundation Remediation projects, both were DSAC-1 dams. Dam safety engineer and FOB construction supervisor for the Mosul Dam Task Force which provided technical assistance to the Government of Iraq to mitigate dam safety issues associated with Mosul Dam Foundation Remediation Project.
