Mr. Steele has 15+ years of experience in geophysical consulting, including project management, geophysical survey design, processing geophysical data, and interpretation and integration of geophysical and geological data. He is the team lead/manager for the Tetra Tech geophysics group in Golden, CO. He has experience planning, implementing, and interpreting geophysical projects evaluating different geohazards including underground void detection and karst mapping, geologic characterization for critical infrastructure (dams, levees, railways, etc.), 2D and 3D seismic surveys in support of fault delineation, paleo-channel mapping, geothermal prospecting, mine tailings and dam evaluations, mineral exploration,micro-seismic monitoring, subsurface environmental concerns; and electromagnetic geophysical mapping in support of UXO removal, subsurface structures, utilities, and underground storage tanks (USTs). His software proficiency includes the application of proprietary in-house custom processing algorithms, various seismic interpretation programs, modeling and mapping software including ArcMap, and, additional equipment-specific software platforms for a variety of geophysical instruments. He has project experience in 3D seismic design, vibroseis operation, seismograph, and data recording experience, along with extensive experience with electrical geophysical methods. Mr. Steeleās geophysical method proficiency includes precision GPS surveying, UAS-(drone) based photogrammetry mapping, equipment layout design and operation, and project-specific safety orientation.
