Aaron is originally from the Washington D.C. area. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia and his Masters in Science from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He worked for 10 plus years in the private sector as a consultant before joining the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District in 2008. Between 2008 and 2013, Aaron worked in the Planning Branch, serving as a lead planner on several studies and construction projects, principally on Dam Safety projects. In 2014, Aaron served as the Chief of Environmental Analysis Section in Planning Branch. In 2015, Aaron was named a Senior Project Manager with responsibility for the delivery of the Bluestone Dam Safety Mega Project, Mohawk Dam Safety Project, and Zoar-Levee Dam Safety Project. In 2019, Aaron began supporting the Corp’s Dam Safety Modification Mandatory Center for Expertise and the Risk Management Center program and project oversight quality management missions and advancing communication within the levee and dam safety programs. In 2021, Aaron was assigned as the Senior Project Advisor for the Whittier Narrows Dam Safety Modification Mega-Project. He currently resides in Huntington, West Virginia with his wife and two children. Aaron enjoys distance running and is often out before sunrise trying to get some miles in his free time. When he is not working or jogging, he is usually on a soccer pitch, basketball court or track watching cheering his kids on.
