Michael has a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Florida Atlantic University with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in Florida and Washington State and is Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Construction Documents Technology (CDT) certified. Michael has nearly 20 years’ experience providing Project Management, Engineering During Construction (EDC), and Contract Administration services on a variety of large infrastructure projects across the Country, with his focus on dams and levees over much of the past decade. Recent past projects include new reservoir construction as well as extensive dam rehabilitation, with individual construction costs in excess of $200M. He has expertise in borrow development and management, construction of earthen embankments and associated drains/filters, as well as soil cement armor. He also has a strong background and knowledge of concrete and other construction materials. Michael’s project involvements span complete project life cycles from design through project close out and commissioning, and everything in between. With a strong technical background in Geotechnical Engineering and construction materials, his practical experience makes him extremely knowledgeable on constructability issues, QA/QC practices, risk management, contract interpretation/administration, and change management. Michael’s blend of technical expertise and construction experience, with an effective communication style and problem-solving ability has fostered trusting relationships with Owners/Clients and effective working relationships with Contractors, contributing to the successful completion of complex and challenging construction projects.
