Abbas Dorostkar is the Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) Practice Lead and Subject Matter Expert for Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). He is a registered Professional Engineer in the US (CA) and Canada (ON) with a PhD in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada. Abbas routinely applies his extensive dam safety experience to ensure the safety and reliable performance of PG&E’s hydroelectric infrastructure including over 170 dams California. His wide range of expertise include:
• probable maximum precipitation & flood (PMP&PMF) studies,
• flood frequency analyses and inflow design flood assessments,
• dam breach analyses and inundation mapping,
