Randy Bass isa professional engineer and a gradute of Georgia Tech BCE in (1972) and a MCE degree (1977). His career with dam engineering started in 1978 when he worked for six years with the Georgia Safe Dams Program manging the Program from 1980 till 1984. He worked for Dames and Moore where he develpoded a construction unit which constructed the first two RCC gravity dams in Georgia. He worked as the water resources engineer for the Portland Cement Association for six years assisting engineers and contractors in the use of RCC and soil cement. Randy currently is a senior engineer with Schnabel Engineering in the Alpharetta office in Georgia. He has been active in ASDSO serving on the first training committee and on the Affiliate Advisory Commitee. Randy has presented two webinars for ASDSO with another one scheduled for June 2023. He is also an instructor on the Design og Reinforced Concrete Hydraulic Structures course for ASDSO. He has been an instructor on dam owner workshops for Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, and Alabama. .
