Working in the geotechnical section of USACE Louisville District since 2007, currently serves as the Risk Cadre Lead for Louisville District. Matthew has been leading multiple USACE risk assessment projects concurrently since 2019 and working with the Risk Cadre since 2017. Technical competencies include; risk calculation software, risk facilitation, event tree development, slope stability and seepage analysis, bearing capacity calculations, settlement analysis, deep foundation design and modeling, levee design and repair, subsurface exploration and sampling, pile modeling and design, foundation design, materials and soil laboratory testing, and evaluation of measures and alternatives for feasibility studies. Matthew has a Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
