Ciara Horne is a Ph.D. student in Systems Engineering, where she is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, a Health Policy Research Scholar, and an ACM SIGHPC Computational and Data Science Fellow. Her research consists of exhibiting how water management practices contribute to public health and environmental injustices. Specifically, she uses data science and GIS methods to measure how dam failures socially impact racially and economically marginalized communities in the U.S.
